Hygiene Treatment

What is Hygiene Treatment?

Definition ~

prevent the build up of plaque along the gum line, keeping your teeth and gums clean

Dental hygiene treatment involves the comprehensive care and maintenance of oral health through professional cleaning and preventive measures. Dental hygienists play a vital role in promoting oral hygiene and preventing dental diseases. During a typical dental hygiene appointment, the hygienist will assess the patient's oral health, perform a thorough cleaning to remove plaque, tartar, and stains, and educate the patient on proper oral hygiene practices. They may also apply fluoride treatments, perform gum disease evaluations, and provide guidance on diet and lifestyle choices that impact oral health. Dental hygiene treatment aims to prevent dental issues, maintain healthy gums, reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease, and support overall oral well-being.

How much does it cost?

A hygienist visit costs £70 per session. A deposit of £25 is required to secure your appointment.

Your hygienist will highlight to you how frequently you should visit.

We require you to have up to date x-rays on file, so it may be necessary for you to complete a checkup with your general dentist prior to having a hygiene appointment.
